Dec 12, 8:00 – 9:30 AM (UTC)
We have a great line up this month. We'll be kicking off the session with Animesh's presentation on his journey in bug bounties and then closing it off with an AMA by the one and only NahamSec, who is visiting Australia :)
The beginning of the meetup will have Animesh presenting on his journey so far in bug bounties:
From NAs to P1, transitioning from Pentesting to Bug Bounties - Animesh Acharya (https://x.com/an1msh_) (30 mins)
"There was no way the authentication of this public bug bounty program hadn't been tested already," I thought, which kept me from my first high-severity finding for over six months. After months of duplicates and 'NAs,' I'll walk you through how I finally chained a few low-risk vulnerabilities to land my first high-severity bug. Sometimes, it is essential to stay calm and not report some medium/low findings ASAP, as that can be the difference between getting a P1 or an NA/dupe. Have you ever felt like that blind GET request SSRF was useless? That was what I thought until the moment of spark, where I could use it to get my first critical in Bug Bounties, which eventually turned into over ten criticals.
After Animesh is finished with his presentation, we'll be having an AMA with NahamSec (https://x.com/NahamSec) (30 mins)
Naham is visiting Australia and is prolific in the bug bounty scene. He is well known for his performance in live hacking events within the bug bounty community and for the educational content he produces more broadly.
He has been in the bug bounty space for as long as I can remember, being one of the earliest adopters. From his humble beginnings, he has built a well-recognized and respected profile and has a lot of wisdom to share.
Naham is currently visiting Australia for business and is looking forward to meeting the local community. Be sure to ask Naham any of your questions you may have about bug bounties, his journey, and his findings :)
